The Department of Public Safety bought their Troopers belt fed machine guns.... sweet. At least they're matched up to the cartels on the other bank of the river.

Texas always wanted another Navy. They should have Mk19s and M2s, along with cutlases and boarding axes.

I wonder about the firing into Mexico side ambush issues. Would this constitute a border incursion?

Good to have some teeth at the border. Now all we need to do is station armed choppers on the dry side.

The Texas Rangers and the Texas Department of Public Safety fly armed helicopters -- they'll put a shooter with a .50 cal in them . . . along with M4s.

Didn't know the Rio Grande could accommodate "gun boats" -- the parts I've seen around El Paso/Juarez would barely float a canoe most times of the year.

Which is why Texas needs amphibious hovercrafts with a quad-M2, a few Dillons, a couple kegerators and topless morale officers from the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleading Squad. Show the Mexeecaans what 'Merica is all about.

We are trying to keep them out not lure them in, lol

I will wait to hear a report of them actually using that firepower. The border patrol is now taught run and take cover.

These are Texans, not Feds. Texans on the border, not the federal Border Patrol

I imagine you know that . . .

Of course I know that, but The states are pretty much bound by what the feds will allow. I haven't heard of any state patrols opening up on border crossing drug runners with their expensive machine guns.

The first time a drug crew opens up on the Texas naval craft, I imagine they'll light them up like a Christmas Tree. I'll want to see the video, and will eat popcorn with glee while watching it. Texas, it's a whole other country. . . .

Now use them and make Texas taxpayers happy in that these gunboats are not wasted money.

I waant to see that video too. I hope Texas does use their firepower, I'll just be surprised.
