Yea, not mocking shoes without heels at all. Folks can wear whatever they like. I'm partial to barefoot when feasible, more feasible in the summer. On the other hand after you get over being young, somewhere past age 30-- Just one good pratfall that a kid wouldn't even notice, might have ya hobbling around for years to heal up. Comfort and convenience of a shoe so easy to slip out of, might get expensive.

Only reason I got those in the first place to slip em on to let the dogs out.. run to the mail box, etc..

They kinda grew on me.. I love em now.

I like the idea of Crocs. You can't make a shoe any cheaper from a manufacturing standpoint. My wife has bought me a pair or two of them. I just can't do it. That pebble grain inside drives me nutz. It's like the grip on a Gen4 Glock19

It's just too close to being bare foot for my liking. I'm super paranoid about my feet. Sturdy shoes with ankle support and fresh clean socks. I drive the wife nuts because I change my socks twice a day and will throw a pair of socks away for least little thing. I'd wear a new pair every day if I could afford it.

I never could stand to wear those things. I avoid wearing anything I can't run in.

This reminds me so much of a guy I used to work for when I was working for the University as an undergrad student at MTSU. He used to say you shouldn't wear anything you couldn't "whip a man's a$$ wearing". So much for East Tennessee being the redneck part of the state. Seriously, when I started working for the guy I thought he and I were so different that we'd never get along. It turns out we got along great and I had tons of fun working for him. I even went to his house for Thanksgiving one year when I couldn't make it home. He's also the first guy who ever took me shooting. I need to call him up and see how he's been.

I have a pair of the Wally World cheapies, after wearing out some proper Crocs.

To be honest, at this time of year I'd rather go barefoot.

Actually, now I think about it, it's probably been 2 weeks since I wore anything on my feet.

I have no personal experience wearing Crocs, but thought I'd pass along a warning. Don't wear them on escalators or anywhere else where two metal parts are sliding in opposite directions. They can catch on both surfaces and mangle the wearers feet.

It sounds like an urban myth, but Neal Boortz's call screener (Belinda)'s son had it happen.

Personally, I'm with a couple of the last posters. I won't wear something in which I can't run and kick someone's arse. Either that or barefoot. I'm trying to toughen my feet in case my boot soles melt off again.

I still love mine..They are great for me to wear at the barn.Try washing fresh horsepoo of shoes that have any fabric. Horsepoo stains shoes feaaly bad..my cheapo rubber shoes hose off and i am gtg...cant beat that..

And I wont be caught wearing those in town..they are bright pink
