Well, next time, Squirrel season will be in and maybe some nice landowner will let us hunt them. Squirrel and dumplings for supper, squirrel brains and eggs for breakfast (I'll pass), and we'll tan their hides and make a knife sheath with it....good times!!

Can't wait!

Dolomite was a big hit with the kids as he instructed them in shooting .22 pistols. He seemed to enjoy working with the little ones.

Thanks Dolomite...my grandson is still talking about your pistols!

thats very generous of you. now that I think about it, TS is used to sitting and driving that truck all day, so a long day of walking and hunting might tucker him out a bit and he could probably use a triple portion of brains to help strenghten his bones.

Oh heck yeah! Sittin' on your butt for a living makes for a tuckered brain and I'll happily take your portions! (It'll give me somethin' to smear on y'alls bedrolls so the skunks will leave me alone and go after you!)

Well sorry forth delay once again folks. But I do want to extend a thank you to those that made it possible. WD and TS for the great learning experience I walked away with more than anticipated.

To Dolomite for his toys and time spent with the kids, and a big thanks to Spots for putting up with me and my boy all weekend, make sure to extend my thanks to the misses for her hospitality as well.

My son is still talking about it and we are looking forward to the next event. To all the names and faces it was great meeting and sharing this experience with you all.
