I'd rather not see people use the flag for political statements but that's just me.

Agreed. Remember a few months back when everyone was up in arms about a flag that depicted Obama on it (in a good way)?

The flag code is nice but it's really just a set of guidelines that are not legally enforceable. It's just bad form to use the symbol of your country, any country, to make any statement political or otherwise.

Yep! That's how I feel about it too. Well said.

Some people just need to be heard. I don't get it. I understand the sentiment but like what my wife always tells me, "its not what you say but how you say it."

Personally, I think this works against him. Its also rather arrogant of him/her to think his opinion is important enough to abuse the flag in that manner.

As the scripture says, "no one should think more highly of themselves than they ought."

Great sentiment; wrong media. Putting it on the arse of a jackass would have been much more effective.

Not surprising. However, it sucks that a veteran is disrespecting the flag like that.

I hadn't noticed the DV tag before. Yeah, he should know better.

And on top of all that, I don't use my vehicles or my yard to make political statements. I don't understand why some people want to give some radical leftie a reason to confront them. I just don't have time for it.

yeah people over react in anger sometimes. Someone should kindly remind him what that flag stands for.

I agree that it should not be on a flag, but I think the message is spot on. I wish more of us had the guts to tell the world what we really think. I don't think Obama would have nearly as many supporters if we were all outspoken like this.
