300 AAC Blackout

Recommended Posts

I'll get mine from David.

My upper is built. May start on the lower tonite too.

Come on dude! Let it go, don't start obsessing. What happens to our neuro-receptors when we don't get enough REM sleep?

They lose their sensitivity to seratonin and norepinephrine, which leads to impaired cognitive function.

Get some rest, your toys will be waiting for you in the morning.

Looks good to go.

I like the better control the AFG gives me. Second choice is a short foregrip. Do have a magazine foregrip that I have on the .458 socom. Due to low mag capacity and also adds a little more weight up front.

Also stick grip for use when things go bump in the night.

Dang it Mike, you probably just cost me some more money.

I just spent money on the lightweight AR that just got finished yesterday and haven't even shot it yet, then I ordered all the stuff for a BLK bolt gun when I haven't even shot my 7.62x39 bolt yet and now it looks like I am going to have to have an AR in BLK but hopefully I will get to shoot it.

And then on top of that it is going to cost me even more because I am going to have to send off a Form 1 for the 30 caliber can.

You are going to put me in the dog house before this is over and done with. Actually probably not, my wife enjoys this stuff almost as much as I do.

Yeah. I don't dislike the AFG. Just feels a little strange right now.

Sorry about that :pleased: . I bought the stripped lower an a whim last week. Now, I gotta kick my 10/22 out of the safe so I can make room for it. We're some sick puppies. :pleased:

Well I made a neck sizing die this morning using a Lee Collet die for a 7.62x39

Here are the measurements in case you want to duplicate it.

The decapping pin shaft, not including the pin itself:1.99"

With the pin: 2.45"

The portion that actually squeezes the bullet (it has the caliber marking on it and has fingers): 1.26"

It sizes down to within a few .001" of where the Lee "all in one" die bumps the shoulder.

With the shorter length it may not work with your press with a locking ring. I know with the Hornady lock-n-load bushing adapter and a Lee Classic Cast I cannot lock it down using a ring. I wull just use blue Loctite to keep it in place.

DO NOT cut the outer shell as it has a shoulder that holds the guts in place.
