Kimber for 625 question

Spiffy

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about trying to trade my Kimber TLE for a Smith 625 moon clip 45. The Kimber is in great shape with not a lot of rounds through it (less than 500).

How should I be thinking to trade? Straight across, give boot, ask for boot?

I know if I got to a shop I'll get the short end of the stick which is natural for a gun shop trade in. I know the best bet would be selling the 1911 to someone but I'm not sure what to ask for it. When I bought it they had just came out and were about $1200. Now they are on gunbroker for $1000 new.

Any ideas and help is appreciated.
