Carry Permit

Does anyone know long it is currently taking to get a carry permit. I submitted my prints about 9 weeks ago and still nothing. Is anyone else in the same situation?

It varies on how many are going through the system and your background. How much they have to dog through has alot to do with it.

I would say you will see it any day now. Mine only took about 6 weeks to get but they do have up to 90 days. ALthought I wouldn't bug them alot you can call to see if it has been issued or if you know someone at the local PD you could have them run your DL# and see if a HGP pops up.

According to the lady I just spoke to at the HCP office, they are running a four month backlog on renewals.

Hell...shouldn't need a "permit" in the fist place....

Mine took 6 or 7 weeks, but a friend of mine, his took closer to 12. He even turned his paperwork in 3 days before I did.

I turned in my renewal form at the DOT office on 2-14-08 and have not seen it yet. I called them about a month ago and they said they were backlogged since Jan. I called again today because my HCP extension expires on 5-14-08 and she is going to send me another extension.
