'Joe the Plumber' Ties Holocaust to Gun Control

ABC, CBS, MSNBC and Huffington Post are all aghast that 'Joe the Plumber' says that the Holocaust may have been averted had people not given up their guns.

"The Ohio congressional candidate known as "Joe the Plumber" suggested in a campaign video that German gun controls contributed to deaths during the Holocaust because Jews didn't have firearms to defend themselves. The comments quickly drew strong rebukes from Democrats and Jewish organizations."

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out--

because I was not a communist;

Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out--

because I was not a socialist;

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out--

because I was not a trade unionist;

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--

because I was not a Jew;

Then they came for me--

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Doesn't seem like rocket scientry; folks with the means to resist will normally do so. Jews didn't have those means. Pretty simple equation. Where is the controversy?

I've often wondered, and would love to see a vision of a future where the germans had tried a stunt like that with the Jews that now reside in modern day Israel. Half of Europe would still smell like burnt sauerkraut.

The JDL is the first thing that came to mind when I saw this thread. Somehow I doubt they disagree with Joe the Plumber.
