Good job. These things are fun and easy to convert. Now go get you a 20rnd drum and a Slide Fire and REALLY have some fun!

Nice, how does it run?

Mine runs about 98% on wally bulk and 100% on my slug reloads.

Got it out on a private range and did some bump fireing, to much fun!!!

slugs and buckshoot work well. I tried 2 boxes of cheap bulk from Walmart.

The first box had a FTE every magazine (mag of 5). The 2nd box seemed to go better (the last 4 mags all fed/fired/ejected).

I've since helped polished some of the areas and I'll can't wait to test it out again!

(also, I'm reading that those 'booster' pucks aren't any good. i place an MD arms one (not the special one, just the $10 one). I wonder if that causes some of the issues. I may try the factory one just to try.

I got mine running by useing wally bulk, bout 70 to 100 rounds.

Still had a few FTEs but that went away with the MD booster puck, works for mine.

I did try the weaker spring, it did no good, so I went back to the factory spring.

The Saigas are all a bit off from each other, what works in one might not work in yours.

I have not done a polish job on mine yet, works fine for now.

Just go and shot the hell out of it, keep her lubed well and have fun.

May want to check this thread out OP regarding the booster puck:

http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/47924-saiga-12-gurus/page__p__754879__hl__booster#entry754879

The MD Arms booster puck is actually aluminum and only lasts a few hundred rounds then you have to beat it out of your gun. It will cause more problems than it solves in the end. Mild steel is even too soft for this part. Only a hardnened steel part will survive there.

Your gun should run fine without the booster puck. If not I bet you have a Tapco hammer installed. The are notorius for causing cycling issues. because the hammer face is too tall and drags really hard on the bottom of the bolt.
