Scary Election this year

I am not one whom usually gets into politics but I am scared to death that we may be losing our gun rights following this election. I am an NRA member (lifetime) and I cherrish my right to own and carry firearms. I was not aware that there would ever be this much of a threat in my lifetime, but if Obama wins, we gun lovers are screwed.

I think we have a problem with all three.There much more at stake then just the gun control issue for myself.The next few years are not going to be pleasant especially with obama or clinton in office.And I hate to say it but one of them will get elected with the hate thats around for Bush.It sad that people want to chalk the madness to a Repub,but cant see the house is lead by Dems.

Bush is a Republican? I thought he was a charismatic federalist. Neither party is either. The Republicans are like old fashioned Democrats and the Democrats are like socialists. Maybe Bob Barr can scare them both. He's running for Libertarian candidate.

Don't see hillary and obama together. the sides hate each other too much. had a democrat tell me the other day that he thinks mccain will win hands down due to the division in their party. Which ever side wins the other is not likely to vote for. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

My biggest fear is that he will choose Bloomberg as his Vice, if that happens I just might have to leave the country, one of the advantages of my job, I can work from anywhere

First off Hillary isn't going to get elected and she wont become VP. She went from certain to soiled in a matter of 18 months.

I think there is a good likelihood Obama will get elected. McCain sounds like he's nuts. And I'll probably vote for him just because.

But Obama (or anyone else) will have way more on their plate than gun rights. That is going to be way down the list, long after Iraq, Afghanistan, and healthcare. And keep in mind that a lot of Dems in Congress now are a lot more pro gun than the Republicans they replaced. They are not going home to their constituents and telling them they voted anti gun. It wont come up.

Obama will be a one term president ala Jimmy Carter.
