went to see this w/e. Great movie if you were into Rock in the 80's.

I would recommend this movie highly. After the movie, a whole bunch of us who were wastching went outside and talked about the music and concerts and growing up in the eighties...

I thought it was well worth the ticket price

Good to hear a good review. I was kinda upset when I saw the previews as I happen to like 80's rock/hair metal. The idea of a musical using RATT and poison just, well upset me a bit I guess.

I am looking forward to seeing this. Still have my doubts about Tom Cruise being a rock star but haven't heard a bad thing yet.

How does it compare to Rock Star and Almost Famous? I know the music is different but those two excellent movies, uh, rock.

I'd be interested in seeing it. I don't understand all of the blind hatred for Tom Cruise recently. Yes he's into Scientology and acts wierd sometimes jumping up on people's couches. But personal issues aside, he's always been a good actor, and a dedicated professional. I don't care how many couches he decides to jump up and down on, or what "religion" he chooses to follow, none of that has anything to do with his acting or the quality of his movies. I usually enjoy most of the movies that he's been in.

And I'm a big fan of the music from the "hair metal" days of the 80's, so I'll probably watch it eventually.

After seeing cruise in pineapple express, I actually like the guy now. He's an awesome actor, but like you said, I sort of shunned away because of all the silliness he's associated with

Glad to see a real review of this movie, heard it was a flop in the theaters but previews looked awesome so we were up in the air on it
