My camouflaged car rant, Why in the he** would you...?

Why does anyone think it would be a good idea to cammo up a Toyota corolla? I could almost understand a truck or other 4 wheel drive vehicle. Some person cammoed up his Toyota  however he did a real good job on it. Problem is I almost pulled out in front of him because he blended in so well with the trees behind him on the highway. I think this is not a real good idea, but an accident waiting to happen.

Rant over.

Interesting. Whatever the fella's "taste" for wanting a camo car, maybe he didn't think it would make the car difficult to see on the road? What you describe makes perfect sense, visibility of the car against a woods background, but on a city street it might be easy visible. Woods camo might "stick out like a sore thumb" on a city street?

There is a certain gray-silver automobile color that I've cussed which it is a common popular color. Maybe most folk can see that color better, but in around dusk or dawn that gray-silver color practically disappears off the road. Also in a heavy rain on the highway, a gray-silver auto up ahead, gotta get real close to see him if he didn't turn on his lights.

funny, but people could die?

Well, chances are it'll be him since he's driving a Corolla. When that semi driver doesn't see him it's all over.

Kevin wasn't really all that popular in school

But I remember well the day I thought now that guy's pretty cool

He pulled into the parking lot and everybody cheered

Because he had gone and painted his entire Chevy Cavalier camouflage

Because he heard Brad Paisleys song Camouflage and thought that really happened. biggrin.gif

If that where the case it would be dark gray and maybe a stripe or two that is only visible from above.

Dolomite

I like it!

Thanks Dave.

I don't listen to music radio lately and haven't heard that song. Assuming it is a well-known song then your theory sounds like an excellent guess of "why" the fella might have painted his car camo.

People are silly...

Camo is mild compared to the candy themed rides with 67 inch rims...

She's right...

A camo Corolla... Now maybe we have heard it all. Seriously, this is even more silly than buying a Corolla to begin with.

there's some dude just south of Memphis with a John Deere themed 80's era Caprice with 24" stay still rims. I used have pics of it. It was nuts.
