It goes to your county sheriff. I live in Robertson and sent it to the sheriff's office in Springfield. A quick web search gave me the name and address.

I sent mine to my local Chief of Police. I never really thought it mattered since it was just a notification and not a request.

I just sent my info last week, so I don't have a C&R.... yet. :D

My take was if your address is in the city, send to Chief of Police.

Live in the county, send it to the sheriff.

I may be wrong, but that is my understanding of it....

maybe city pd didn't want to mess with it, but they said county was "chief law enforcement officer". they never sent anything back to me and the license showed up in the mail a few weeks later.

The County Sheriff is the CLEO for all counties in Tennessee with the exception of Davidson; there it is the Chief of Metro PD.

Oh well. It really doesn't matter. You'll get the license no matter who you send it to pretty much.

I appreciate the clarification as to whom to send a copy of C&R to.

Now all I gotta do is wait......... :screwy:
