Doh, I just got my C&R application in the mail yesterday. What do you think the odds are these will last another 2-3 months.

handselect? scam or true look though

I guess it depends on what you consider a scam. I think most places do a "best of five" thing. They aren't going to go through the entire inventory.

Still a bit pricy IMO....SOG runs them $99 when they get them. Plus shipping is cheaper.

However..... if you consider they are getting harder to find in stock, you might feel the prices are ok.

I am curious to see who they import from and the quality.

Post up results. Convince me to order one!!!

Got it last week. Very nice! Bore is clean and shiny, stock is in nice condition, all serial #'s match. Importer is ATI. The one I got is a 1935 Tula. Came with all the standard accessories, sling, bayonet, ammo pouch, tool kit, oil bottle.

Also, SOG doesn't have any right now.

Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

$30 for shiny bore? that is ridiculous.

I did not choose any of the hand-pick options, and I am very pleased with what I received.

Which MFG do I want Tula or Izh and what mfg do u get if none are selected

If you don't choose, it's anybody's guess. I got a Tula. Apparently the Tulas are more desireable, although nobody seems to be able to give a really good reason why. This is according to 7.62x54r.net.

nice 35...i still maintain the opinion that it was a bit pricy for me? since i have so many I would have to choose the "hand pick" option and specify what year(s) i would want...that just put the price too high for me.

I just scored a 1938 Tula Finn Capture in a really sweet Finn stock, real clean, good bore, matching for $130 locally...and not on my papers!

But I guess if you do not have a whole bunch and are not worried about getting doubles and wouldnt need the "hand pick" option than this would be ok for you?!?

again...nice 35!!! a 35 was my first one!! still have her...probably wont get rid of her either!!!

Yeah, this is only my second. The first was a '42 Tula round. I have fired it several times, it shoots nice. Need to work on the front sights though. Pulls to the right a bit.

If I buy anymore Mosins they will most likely be some other variety like the Finns or M44. I am more into handguns than long guns.

You have to send them a copy of your 03 FFL and get set up with a dealer account to shop the firearms. Otherwise all you can look at is like ammo and stuff.

Make sure you enter the license number in your account settings. It will disappear after you enter it for security purposes. Log into your account, then click "Account Information" in the list on the left, and enter your number in the field provided. This allows them to make sure they match the right license copy with the right account. I neglected to do this when I signed up, and it delayed my approval by about a week.

done and thx....still cant see any C&Rs,,,,,,maybe they have to release the website ?

It'll take them a day or so. They have to verify that they have a valid license and match it to your account. They should email you. Once you have been approved there will be a couple more menu items like Collector's Corner, Handguns and Longguns.
