Actually - I'm more looking' for pullets. Finding them is like pulling hen's teeth (wakka wakka wakka) :)

Most places don't sell "chicks" this time of year. Best bet is look online. Google "chick hatcherys"....

Tractor Supply has them a couple times a year. Usually there are some on Craigslist in the farm section most of the time.

Try craigslist. There is a hatchery in franklin that advertises there. If you don't see it, pm me and i will dig out the contact info. I bought broilers and turkeys from them and they have done great. Before this year i always just ordered online.

The weekend flea market on 231 about half-way to Lebanon from Murfreesboro had quite a few available a few weeks ago. (I only noticed the avian variety, but wouldn't be surprised if there were other varieties available there.)

Depending on which side of Nashville you are on and how far you are willing to drive, the Crossville Flea Market has a section where animals are sold and there are usually quite a few chickens available there. About a month ago a friend of mine got some young White Leghorns that had just started laying there. (I know there is a joke there somewhere involving a play on 'young', 'chicks' and 'laying' but I got nothing at the moment.)

I've been talking to a guy at the Poultry Place in Franklin. Seems like a decent guy. He's a little hard to get in touch with as his day starts at 6am and ends a 11pm. It's okay. I've decided that a guy with those hours is a hard working' guy, and I'm gladly give him my business.

Dickerson Road is correct, but go out past I 65 and Briley and you will find the Davidson County COOP.

They had chicks when I was in there 6/26
