I just picked up a new m&p 9mm from the indoor range in sevierville for a really good price. I only put a single mag through it. I have been hearing complaints on the double sights on them but I must say I really like them. Anybody else have any experience with the m&p 9? Is there any issues I should expect?

I've got some experience with the M&P series. I'd say you should be able to expect complete reliability with them. I'm not sure what the double sights are.

They have one set of fiber optic sights with a set of trijacon night sights below them. A lot of people have said its too busy for them but me personally I really like them.

The only issue I have had is that about every third round the case pops out and hits me right in the face. I don't know if it is the ammo or something else.

The only negative on the sight's I'm aware of is that the fiber optic insert will work itself out on some of them.

I've got a set of those on my P220. I love them. They're very visible during the day, and at night, they have all of the visibility of any other tritium sights without the annoying halo until my eyes adjust.

If you've got a consistent shell hitting you in the face, I'd guess that you might need to have the extractor or ejector looked at. S&W customer service is awesome. Give them a call, and they'll take care of you fast.

I had a couple of M&P's and never had the case come back at me. I once had a kimber that would NOT stop throwing them in my face. One positive-- its easy to find the brass.......
