The Mecgear magazines are reported to be the most reliable, the 7rd magazines will sit flush. If you have trouble most 1911 magazines need to be filed a little to clear the extractor and will need a Kahr follower, but many people say a 1911 follower works in a Kahr factory magazine.

The only reason I asked was I have had 9mm models in the past and had problems with them dropping rounds out of the spare mags that I carried. I thought if you could use a 1911 mag it would fix that problem.

Of all the 1911 magazines that I know of, using a Kahr follower instead decreases capacity by 1 round.

Well, Kahr makes three different length magazine wells in their .45 models. Regardless of capacity, the same mag couldn't fit flush in all three of them, eh?

Yeah, dunno if other calibers are prone to do that, but you definitively need to constrain the Kahr 9mm mags in some sort of carrier. Loose in a pocket, they can mostly all come out.

Oh, the advice I was giving is directly related to the CW45 and the P45. I'm not sure on the PM45 but it will take the longer of the kahr 45acp magazines so it may work the same with a 1911 magazine. The TP45 , if you can even find one, is supposed to work with std 8rd 1911 magazines.

I have been told Kahr 9mm's can not use 1911 magazines. Your stuck with the Kahr mags.
