Leather stock cover for Marlin??

going to be picking up a Marlin 336 and will be wanting to outfit it with a leather butt Stock cover looking for one under 100 what would you guys suggest

They really are easy to make. Mine aren't as nice/polished looking as what Curiousgb made but I made two in pretty much one day - one for my old, single-shot .410 (top pic) and one for my mom's .410 pump (bottom pic):

These basic, plain versions were much easier than making a holster, etc. This is how mine looks after having stained it with a 'stain' made by soaking old walnuts (with the dried up outer hulls still attached) in some water (I also braided a sling for it and incorporated a shell carrier into the sling):

ok i traded the marlin and now i have a Rossi M92 would one for a marlin fit it? or a winchester

The rifle in my pic is the same gun you have but in .44mag. The curved butt plate is much different from the Marlins. I made mine out of necessity. It has a small about of padding to tame some of the recoil. Heavy loads and a metal but just hurt.
