I want to keep my eyes open so what are good cheap quad rails out there for an AR-15 with a 20" barrel. I would like 12+ inches (that's what she said).

I saw the Midwest Industries Gen 2 for $150 or $160 I believe.

I saw the YHM and others but they are generally more expensive. The less on the cost the better :D.

Oh yes. I want a free float quad rail as well. Any other choices out there from you guys?

Here's the barrel and gas block

Green Mountain 20" 1/7 twist barrel 5.56

YHM Low Profile Gas Block so it will fit under the rail

The Gas block will be one of these but I have no idea which is better. They look the same but one is a Set Screw and the other is a Pinch Screw.

There's also the third one but it just looks cool...just not $75 cool :D

Troy

Good quality, Decent price. Made in U.S.A.

I have an 11" Troy quadrail for my AR and I'm happy with it so far. I know Daniel Defense makes some good ones also but they are a little more pricey.

I'd be interested too in finding a decent rail (9 inch) for cheaper that isn't junk. I haven't committed to getting a cheaper one because I'm concerned about quality, but I'm not spending $300 on a DD. They're nice but I'm just not going to spend that much for a rail.

Be interested in hearing about the quality of some budget rails some folks here have.

I paid just over $180 for my 11" Troy quad-rail and a low profile gas block... including shipping.

(the rail by itself was about $135 or so)

Nice. Where did you find it? I saw it on Troy's website but they were a tad on the pricey side.

This one looks awesome but is $235 on their site.

This one seems to be their "budget' rail I guess but it's still $200.

The cheapest price I can find for the MRF RX rail is $175 :( If only it were in the $130-!50 price range I'd jump on it.

Yeah don't buy from Troy directly. You have to shop around to find the best price. I bought the "Bravo" rail and I ordered it from Fed Tactical Direct, it was the best price I could find on it. But like I said I have the 11" so if you want a 12" or longer it's going to be a little more expensive than what I paid for mine.

Search for "Troy" - http://www.fedtactic...sp?keyword=troy
