Gas 1.19 per gallon I got me some !

I'm in the process of doing some remodeling and have been buying the lowes gift cards at Krogers. Gets you double the pionts for gas purchases. Right now through the 16th, Krogers is doing 4 x the pionts. Anyway i filled up today, took the maximum pionts I could take which was $2 off per gallon and filled up at jusr 24.00.

I really miss those cheap gas days.

Thanks to purchasing hardwood floors with the gift cards I now have 11000 pionts saved up for future gas dicounts at Krogers..

THAT is awesome...

I cringe everytime i put gas in my truck..seeing that 30 bucks gets me less than a quarter of a tank..

But I need to have a truck..so..cant complain to much

My wife uses this tactic for fuel. Buy the Shell Gift Card get double the points and then use the Kroger points (since Shell honors them) after shopping to get something like $1.00 off a gallon for a fill-up. Makes a difference.

I filled up Friday for 1.76 a gallon cause of 1.40 off. Love Kroger's promotion. The way we do it though is to buy the visa gift cards. That way we can use them anywhere.

I filled up at Kroger with 30 cents off and made it home with just under a half a tank. I did some figuring. My truck milage went from 17 mpg to 6. I get 5 trips to the river on a tank. Not this time. The low fuel light came on when I was coming home in the driveway the next day.
