HK guys ... I have a question!

I am fixing to acquire my first ever HK. It is a HK USPc .45. Does this gun take a shorter mag than the full size and if so will the longs mags fit in the USPc but just stick out the bottom?

Nope. Completely different mags. The full size mags will not work in the compact.

Correct, Welcome to H&K ownership.

They fixed that in the newer HK45 and HK45c. Now, compacts will take full size mags.

Full size USP 45 mags will not work, that is correct. However, full size HK45 mags will work in the USPc 45 and the HK45c, but they will stick out of the mag well.

Welcome to the club. The UPS 45c is a fantastic piece. I slightly prefer the HK45c, but not by much.

As previously stated, the HK45 fullsize mags work in both the USP 45c and the HK45c. I tried it a couple years ago, and found it pretty uncomfortable. I wish X-Grip made a spacer.

I like the flat baseplates for carry on the eight round mags. And the ten round for spare. I can get pics once I get home of how the ten looks when in the gun.
