Awesome job on those slide serrations! Looks like it came from the factory that way.

Now...How much would you charge to put new, wider serrations on my KT P-11? Just on the sides and nothing fancy.

Yup - Tim did it again. How many gunsmiths do you know who will let a guy design something this complicated, then let him "help" him cut it (watch over his shoulder). Tim is the man.

And if you think it looks good, you should feel the slide-frame fit and the barrel-slide lockup.

Come check it out tomorrow at the USPSA match in Dickson. I'll be the guy in the "Calhoun Custom Firearms" jersey with a $*#)-eating grin...

I'll praise Tim because he made my cheap 1911 run like a sewing machine. I have taken the gun down for cleaning since he did the work. He's a true artist! Nobody else will touch my 1911's going forward as long as he has time to take them in.

I just charge for my time on the machine. So, it depends on what you want. Feel free to PM and I will be glad to help you if I can.

What machine did you use to do this?

I am kind of in the market for bigget stuff that what I got and always looking for input.

Thanks

Dolomite

Dolomite, I used a vertical mill. If you get one just be sure to get one big/heavy/rigid enough so that you don't get end mill chatter. Small ones will make the clean up so intense that you might as well do it by hand.

Thanks for the kind words Mike.
