Gun refinishing

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have just aquired 2 revolvers that I want to get refinished. 1 is a Charter arms 38 undercover, lock up is good but needs bead blasting and re blued or another type of finish. the other one What I thought was a nice cheap 32sw top break turns out after getting cleaning on it and getting most of the cheap black paint off of it is an Iver Johnson 32 top break:eek:. The lockup on it is fairly tight as well but is in real need of bead blasting and refinishing. They were both so dirty that I knew the first was a charter arms but only because of the wood grips with the charter arms logo on it (until I got it cleaned up a little).

Oh by the way, gun scrubber takes cheap paint off ANYTHING:D.

Now I have a hobby blaster and some real fine material that I could do it with but I AM NOT taking these 2 apart enough to refinish them completely.

Looking for someone in East TN to do the work, any suggestions?

Good luck. Refinishing is going to run about $100 or more per gun. They aren't worth that much probably. And taking apart a top break is a PITA.
