Remembering D-Day

Sixty eight years ago the tide turned in the European theatre of World War 2 as 130,000 allies stormed the Normandy beaches or infiltrated inland by glider or parachute. It was a desperate gamble which, although not perfectly executed, resulted in the liberation of France and ultimately other occupied nations. As long as we remember and honor their sacrifice, it will be natural to offer our own.

We owe so much more to the greatest generation than we can ever hope to repay. The sacrifices they made on our behalf is truly humbling... or at least it should be.

Thank you...

We all here have the utmost respect for and cherish our veterans. It is a shame to think that there are people in this country now, who seem to care less how they destroy what these men have fought and died for. God bless those men who gave it all. :usa:

You can count my idiot boss as one of the above mentioned people. He overheard a fellow employee ask if anyone knew what happened 68 years ago today. His response was to get on the P.A. system, and tell us we needed to worry about what was going on today not 68 years ago! Several us took the time to explain 68 years ago, was the reason we were not speaking German today!
