Armscor Revolvers

I overheard someone saying that these are made with the machinery purchased from Colt, when Colt went out of the revolver business.

Does anyone know anything about these? Are they colt designed?

Are they any good?

I've seen a couple, they seemed like decent pistols. They had a decent trigger, and finish, they just aren't polished like a name brand.

I had one of the 2" through the shop. Nice little gun for the money. Sure looked like a Colt to me. I would bet the mechanics are different because Colt revolvers are expensive to make. Ergo, they dont make them anymore.

Maybe the same. I've never had one apart, but with phillipino labor costs being what they are, I wouldn't be surprised .

These are the same folks that make the Charles Daly and Rock Island 1911's, the entry level STI and Tanfoglio CZ copies so affordable

I have one of these right now. Out of morbid curiosity I decided to pull the side plate/grips and see what the story is.

I can categorically state that these owe nothing to the Colt Dick etc. Nor do they resemble a Smith. The design seems to have been the work of Satan, with input by Lorcin Engineering and production help by Taurus. I spent half an hour getting it back together, and all I did was remove the side plate and grips.

The gun will work OK as a truck gun or night stand gun. But once it breaks, that's probably curtains for it.
