Classified Change

Any news on when the classifies change over? If I post a new ad, will it be moved to the new system? I want to sell a handgun, but if it's not going to be carried over to the next system I'll hold off till the change is completed.

I just posted up a firearm and mine sold in 30 minutes.

Anticipating mine doesn't sell in 30 mins, if the classifieds change tomorrow, will my ad still be there and active?

No, according to this morning's update from TGO David, all ads posted in the old classified system are gone and need to be reposted in the classifieds forum. The full announcement is here:

The "Enhanced Classifieds" software kept its posts outside of the forum post database and in a format that could not be translated over. I'd asked the author of the software if he could provide a conversion utility for us and he ignored the request entirely or just didn't see it. I'm going with the former as it's not very likely that he was going to provide a mechanism for his customers to abandon his product.

I guess I can't blame him, on one hand, but it was disappointing to me on the other.

I cann't edit my post to change to "SOLD". I was able to change to "Sold", but when post saved still old status "For Sale". How do you get it to save correctly?

That's a different issue. No one can close their own threads yet.

I know that, I meant change to sold. too much wine that night I guess. LOL

I'm a supporter of too much wine. In case you missed it, I also added the feature this morning that lets folks close their own threads in the Trading Post forums. Software for it was released just yesterday.

Yep, got it. Still can't edit title to mark it sold but if they can't reply all is good. Lol

And I'm making my own wine. :D

Dadgum it... will have to figure out why you guys can't mark items sold.

If it helps, it tells me there is an error and that I don't have authorization to change thread title.
