Snakes

Hey Mr. Canebreaker,

I found this entry on another web page. Wonder if it's you?

I have a ton of frogs here. They help to control the bugs in the garden. So watching for snakes is the best thing I can do. I tried to catch a blue racer last week, but it got into the thick brush. Yesterday, I was working on my lawn tractor. I needed some concrete blocks to use as a lift. As I was walking up to get them, there was a banded rat snake laying close to the garden. So back to the barn to get a hoe, bucket and gloves. I caught the snake and put it in the bucket, with lid. I got closer to my stack of blocks and there was another one. So back to get another bucket. After I get it into the bucket. I saw a racer in the taller grass. It was active, didn't want to be caught. But finally got it to the bucket.

I got the tractor up off the ground, removed the deck and started removing the drive belt. Since the grandkids were out in the backyard, I stepped to the back of the barn for a moment. There was a king snake sliding toward the barn. I gathered up my stuff and caught it too. I got the belt changed, but found a pulley bearing bad. So off to the store this morning for a replacement. I released the snakes in butla lake area on the way.

We went from catching snakes to board conduct. Medical journals are pretty clear, so clear up some.

Now THAT type of unfathomable comment sounds quite familiar. Hmmm...

The reason canebreaker was removed from the board was because of his conduct. Not anything he did on the board but because of what he tried to do off the board.

And the board cannot allow someone like him to use this board as a tool for that conduct.

I will not get into the exact details of why he was banned but suffice to say he is not someone we want as a member of this board.

Like cutting your lawn in the nude can get you kicked off the board?

He can rejoin if he likes. Can you stop him?

Seems that some folks just can't take a subtle hint like being banned.

So, I guess I'll be more concrete. Neither canebreaker not any of his aliases are welcome to participate in this forum any longer.

I'm gonna leave this vague [intentionally] but this isn't the only time a member has been less than upstanding. There's some damn fine people on this board, and the strays that come in and take advantage of that good nature really piss me off.

Thanks to TGO moderator staff for their zero tolerance policy on the matter.

There are good people here and one is allowed to speak their minds within the rules. The rules are there for a reason. Read them and act accordingly. It's really pretty simple.

Wow. I'm busy for a few days, then come back and see this. I really must have missed something.

I have a curiousity question that doesn't have to do with snakes or people who can't take a hint. Not trying to start a ruckus, honestly curious--

Some of the old messages from previously banned individuals have user descriptions and icons that are amusing, like big red "Banned" signs, and I saw an old one earlier today, dunno if it was done by a moderator or the old member, but the user avatar had a picture of a cartoon puppy saying "please forgive me".

Just sayin, some of that is funny stuff! Just curious if there are "levels of being banned" and the software takes care of the details, or if a moderator has to take extra steps to make the "banned" real obvious (and amusing).

The user put the "puppy" avatar up prior to being banned if I remember correctly.
