Budget gunsmithing or finally off the kitchen table

I just wanted to show some stuff I got from Harbor Freight and Lowe's. However the neatest thing is the tool caddy in the closeup shot. 19.00 from Papmered Chef online. We have had one for years in the kitchen and I wanted something fast and easily accessable and easy to put back so I quit leaving a mess all the time.

Just curious. What is the fork for? Snack attacks while gunsmithing?

I have used some strange things to get some guns back together. I can see keeping a fork handy.

That's a good idea. I will have to get the wife a new "spatula city turnstile" and take the old one.

Nice setup esp the light w/ magnifier (old eyes you know).

I use the fork to compress hammer coil springs on the strut. For instance Ruger revolvers and Ruger 10/22s. There might be an "official" tool for this but the fork works well and is cheap.
