"Humanitarian charity Oxfam has launched a new campaign to call for the regulation of the sale of ammunition around the world. It comes ahead of a United Nations summit in July on bringing in a new arms trade treaty to regulate the sale of arms."

"Anna Macdonald, head of arms control at the charity, said: "A gun without a bullet is a very large metal stick, basically. Ammunition is literally the fuel of conflict."

The fathers of two murdered children have helped launch a campaign to call for tighter global gun sale controls.

Ammunition will still be availible no matter what laws any governmental entity impliments, it'll just be availible on the blackmarket like heroin or cocaine, essentially it boils down to this; if there is a willing buyer, there will be a willing seller, regardless of how "illegal" something is made.

Laws don't solve anything, but apparently some people have decided that they do. Besides, how do they plan on regulating it? Serialize each round? Also who's to say that several crates of ammunition were used during a "training exercise" and left in said area. If there is a buyer, there will be a seller. Obama is also wanting to sell arms to the Syrian rebels so I wonder how far this will actually go...
