ROMNEY'S VP CHOICE?

Unfortunately there will never be a pure conservative candidate or party. The R primaries produced around 12 candidates this time and still not everyone are happy with the outcome. We have to compromise sometimes, especially this go around to get the commie out of the WH.

Condi Rice wouldn't pull anyone from the left. She might do that from some of the unsure, undecided,

middle of the road people who can't make up their mind types called moderates, but the liberal base never

shifts to the right. I like Rice, but not as a VP.

Palin tore into Biden and beat him up badly in the only VP debate, but I'm sure you guys think I'm obsessing.

If it wasn't for someone like Palin, McCain wouldn't even have been a show in that horse race. He should get

someone who appeals to the southern religious conservative voters because he is weak in the south. The

unions are becoming less of a factor in the rust belt states, but there are many moochers in that area, also.

I hope he picks a popular governor and not a senator because I wonder if there are any plans to replace

the lost senate numbers.

In other words, it is an all or nothing game and all of it is in play. We desperately need the Senate more than

we need Romney, right now, but it would be nice to get it all and put the commies packing to some third world

paradise.

The reason Condi would pull people from the left is because the people that elected Obama don't think for themselves. They vote because they "like" the person, they think its fun to vote for something new, they vote for the name they hear most, the person they see most, they vote for who they can relate with most. Young teenagers, uneducated minorities, ignorant college kids in my age group, old cat ladies, and yes...the people "on the fence" will all vote for a Rice ticket because it's new, different, excitingly historical, and the most talked about thing in the media.

Those voters don't have ANY clue about politics, about legislation, or the candidates' proposals...they just vote ignorantly. I simply believe Condi could get enough ignorant voters, enough casual feminists, and enough of the educated independents to sway the vote in Romney's unlikely favor.

You may very well be right though, it may not matter. I do agree that Romney needs to leave the senate alone and pull from a Governorship if he's taking an active political face as his VP. I would normally agree that Congress control is more important than White House control but Obama hasn't seemed to go through congressional avenues to do things. He was in Libya without approval, he refuses to enact Immigration laws that congress has voted for, he issues executive orders to do as he pleases, and he nominates super liberals to the Supreme Court. He is dangerous so I almost feel as if the WhiteHouse control may be more important now; it's hard to say really.

Having control of Congress is crucial. A President can

be kept in check by withholding purse strings, if only

that would happen.

Obama can make all the EO's he wants, but in the

end, they have to be legitimate to be be enforceable.

The liberal "base" will not change their votes. That's

maybe 20% of the voting population. If anything,

they just won't turn out to vote. That same disease

that afflicts both sides: Apathy.

Those that would refuse to do something about

this communist in the White House have already

dug their own grave, or made plans to live without

the existence of the USA in the near future.

Hopefully the R base is galvanized this time around after witnessing what the commie is doing to our country. After hearing Romney clips on Mark Levine's radio yesterday, both Levine and myself were very impressed with his campaign stump speech yesterday that sounded very conservative and American. Romney was attacking Obama's out of touch anti business insults, and making important points on what makes America great; and that would be the initiative and hard work of the American people, not big government interference.

If Romney keeps making speeches like that yesterday delineating the differences in Obama' Marxist communist policies, and The American way of capitalism and entrepreneurship that Romney believes in, then I believe there is hope of defeating the commie in November. Can't wait until the debates start.

DrudgeReport is reporting that General Petraeus is a possibility to be Romney's VP choice. There is a poll on the DrudgeReport to see the response of the Petraeus pick.

Don't think that Petraeus is near the top of the list, not much there except his military experience.

I heard on the radio this morning that this was most likely propaganda started out of the White House.

We'll find out soon enough.

What would be the agenda here?

To further steer the focus away from the

Obama campaign. Nothing more.

When you can't run on your record, you

diffuse it with anything to confuse the

other side. That seems to be easy to do,

lately.

:usa: No doubt that you've heard, Paul Ryan is the Man. :usa:

Excellent choice in my opinion. Makes living with Romney a whole lot better.

Ryan is looking like an excellent choice for VP. I approve of the pick.
