Need help with identifying this

I've been going thru my Mom's stuff since she passed and this serving platter was one of the items. Most of her stuff was passed to her from my grandmother and who knows how long before that. This doesn't appear to be too old but you never know. I wouldn't want to sell this in a yard sale for $2 if it's worth much more.

Anyone recognize this mark?

Carry it over to a couple of antique stores and see what they say. I do mean a couple or more stores...those antique people are almost as bad as gun dealers.

Does she know what the writing is?

That's how she knew it was Italian. She wasn't able to find anything similar on her sources, yet.

I don't know how old it is, maybe not what you

would call antique, but is a pretty nice looking

serving plate. If I guessed at a price, it would be

wrong. Anything else that might match with it

Yep! Not cheap, but they're good. I don't if they find old

patterns, but it would be a decent start.

I've sent the pictures and a request to the site given in post #3. They turned it over to their research dept. so maybe I'll know something soon.
