College Student drunk, wanders into wrong house

How did she get in the house if they had good locks on the doors? I can't imagine a drunk person getting through a properly secured door without making a ton of noise. A full length deadbolt with 3 inch screws in the 2x4 doorframe should defeat most people.

After reading it again, apparently only the screen door was closed. So, it was stupid for her to get that drunk, but it was a failure on the homeowner's part for not properly securing their residence.

Locking your door at night is basic security. If he had killed her, I guarantee he would have wondered how it would have ended if he had just locked his damn door. A home defense firearm is an irreplacable part of your security system, along with locks and an alarm. If he lived in a 2.75 million dollar house, he should be able to afford good locks and an alarm system. Someone getting that far in your house without getting noticed is an epic fail. They didn't even notice until she was outside the bedroom door.

From the sounds of it, they got lucky and weren't very skilled. It would have turned out very different if it had been a hardened criminal sneaking around their house instead of a drunk college girl.

You're not getting in my house like that.

I'm glad I never got into the party scene. I watched to many people I know lose too much. Including their life.

He must have some really bad karma. All his life he wished for a young hot party girl to walk into his bedroom. Finally, his dream comes true and he shoots her.

I didn't know that it was called the 'make my day law.' How long has it been called that?

Ever since they realized that calling it the 'I'm gonna' f*ck up your night! law' probably wasn't very politically correct after all. ;)
