Some times i feel like we are doomed

i had the dumb idea to post a comment on youtube about some ding dong liberal spewing his democratic filth and just got done responding to the aftermath and realized that i am starting to believe there is no hope for our society and i am saying a prayer daily now that God forgive us and have mercy for as Jesus stated "they know not what they do". we must continue to carry the message brothers and sisters for it is our constitution that God asks for. it is our fortitude that He requests of us. i have seen the evil that settles in these times and beds down as to make a permanent home but is our faith in God The Almighty that will lift us towards evermore the Gates of Heaven! Can i get an Amen brothers and sisters?!?!? Can i get a hallelujah and praise be to God?!?!?! the power that gravitates my soul towards the Holy Fortune that is Jesus Christ is as a guiding beacon of hope and my faith is the tether that binds the two. blessed are those who seek and saved are those who find. God Bless All Of You.

I agree. If you study a bit of American history, real American history; not the politically correct bs taught in public schools, you'll have little doubt that the founding of this country was divinely inspired. The further we as a country drift away from God, the worse things will get. I fear something catastrophic will have to happen to make us change course. I further fear that event isn't very far in the future.

I’m sure people have thought that since this country was founded. It happened in 1861 and it will probably happen again. Hundreds of thousands of Americans died fighting for States Rights. Even though the side that was fighting for States Rights lost; we have States Rights because of it.

The 2nd amendment is a causality of that change. The recent SCOTUS decisions reflect that change. But still some want to attack States Rights if they aren’t in-line with their beliefs. These people are chomping at the bit to overthrow the government and destroy our way of life. Meanwhile there are countries that would love nothing more to see America collapse.

We have done this to ourselves; and we are the only ones that can get us out of this mess. No nation on earth has the ability to take us over or cripple us. If we collapse it won’t be from a weapon, natural disaster, or even an EMP. It will come in the form of an economic collapse. The government can’t stop that, and neither can any politician, only the American people can stop it. Want to pray for something? Pray that all Americans, and especially those that think of themselves as Patriots, will have their eyes opened to that.

And if you study a bit of world history you'll discover that every civilization/society/industialized nation has already gone the route we are going.

It's not a question of if but of when.

I have the unfortunate responsibility to travel all around this country, and i mean ungortunate but it does get muly wife through school and probide for her and my daughters. Diplomatic correctivity is killing this country. YES this country was founded by imigrants BUT these imigrants had one idea for one country founded under GOD! The current a** holes that are holding seats in this government need to be reminded of this and not worry bout there pocket books!! Absoutely no illegal should have any say so in any form or fashion. We are a great nation because of our foundung beliefs, once we let the government change this we will fall from our greatness. GOD SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN FROM THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE OR OUR CURRENCY. NEVER FORGET! Going bqck to my TN, whiskey now. If my post offends you, I do not appoligize. Try another country.

...Can i get a hallelujah and praise be to God?!?!?! ...

Can I get some pain meds for such a thumping?

how can people truly believe that more government control is the best way?

Christianity is rather a socialist philosophy -- most swallow one, easier to swallow the other?

...GOD SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN FROM THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE OR OUR CURRENCY....

You realize, the word "God" was not added to the Pledge until 1952, right? Pledge itself wasn't written until over 100 years after the Declaration of Independence, btw.

Also, "In God We Trust" was not added to currency until 1957, mostly as part of the pep rally against the "Godless Russian Commies".

Point is, neither had anything to do with the Founders, and indeed, I wonder if they would have supported either idea.

Shhhh. Don't spoil it for them. ;)

Ohshoot, realize both of those facts. But it is still principles that this country has been based off of. If you do not stand for something you fall for anything. We should not bend to the will of people that have decided to move to this country. Said people are free from prosicution and should be more than greatfull!! I do not think these people should come to this country and start to chastise us about the way it needs to be run. If they do not like it why move here?

Oh there's nothing to debate about the if's. Garufa is right, it's just a matter of when.

I have been tormented by a similar dilemma/line of thinking. There's a startling percentage of this country that isn't WORTH saving.

The wreck is going down, be sure you and yours have a life raft and a life jacket.

Caster i agree with you. Right now it is a sinking ship. We need some one in pffice that is not a politician and we need to kick every single current politician out pf office to set an example. We are the people amd we are supposed to be the ones that elected officqls represent. We need yo change things, it cannot be left up to the o es in office amy longer. The responsibility and blame will aleays ne on "us" we voted them in '"we" are the ones that can fix it and i do not mean 8ungortunate years too late. :) now back to my youngest daughter and my dickel ;) on another note, if iu hapen to be a current military personal past or present i wish you a good weekend and a whole heartedly thank you. If you were close to me i would love to meet you amd fire up the smoker for you.

Sheepies that no longer have the common since to think for themselves. I am all for playing devils advocate but there comes a time where you have to pick a side.

This.

Also at least worth mentioning, the original "salute" for the POA was very similar to the one used by the Nazi party. Doesn't neccaserily mean anything but interesting none the less.

Anyway, back to the OP, I appreciate the sentiment and thought that went into the post, however IMO no amount of prayer will do anything fir our current situation.

I don't claim to know what we do need, but I'm pretty sure it does not lay in religion nor blind devotion to our nations leaders, past, present, or future. IMHO, YMMV.

not sure what you mean as typing has no voice inflection but if it is doubt that you suffer from then i do not only pray for those i was speaking of in my OP but you too and if you were supporting my OP then i still pray for you because you are a plus to the negative. i have had lots of time to think about the wicked things that people do ( as i was not always a good man) and i can only hope that people in general can find there way to Christ. politics and church should be separate, of this i am sure but the values and morals this country were founded on and that existed for so long have been forgotten because so many people have turned away from Christ. the ugliness of sin bleeds on our nation and defiles it. what happened to hard work and the belief in something positive? the devil and only through God can we find salvation.

Posted

Christianity is not a socialist philosophy, it is an awakening and a way to find Christ. The new testament tells us our duty is to carry the message of Jesus and believe in God and do unto others as we want done to us. that doesnt sound socialistic to me.

...the devil and only through God can we find salvation.

As far as the Founders, it is clear they acknowledged a Higher Power, but were careful not to define it as Christianity; indeed, a number of the most prominent ones, including Jefferson, were clearly Deists. Had they wanted the Constitution to be based on Christianity, they would have used the word.

However, your posts fall well beyond an examination and/or debate of this nature to merely pure Christian evangelism; apparently the TGO rule against proselytizing has fallen by the wayside, but it's a big Web -- with many more appropriate places to Bible thump.

Ohshoot, i think this has turned into the wring type of thread and out of resprct for you and the other members of this forum i will resprctfully bow out pf this conversation and save my stances for another day. This is obviously turning into a christianity rules post now and for the sake of the original postee i am out. " to each his own opinion and lest he or she not be judged for it but praised cor having the fortitude to zpeak ones mind and srand beside there beliefs and thoughts." GOD bless the USA. THATS MY opinion and i do not care wbo likes it or not. Move if you do not like my freedom of speech, preferably to another continent. Thank you for letting me have a few seconds oc your time.

There is certainly alot of parallels of ancient Israel and the US today. The point being is that if you put your faith in God and obey his laws, then God will bless you and our country. We see news posts everyday of people acting like heatherns that we can not even fathom the things they're doing, and we ask " What in the world is going on in our country ". Faith in God is the only logical way of understanding with any perspective of what is going on in our country and in the world. The Bible reveals alot of knowledge ( light ), but if you do not accept the light then you will wander in darkness without understanding. " They have eyes but they do not see, they have ears but they do not hear, they have a brain but they do not understand ".

I know the non- believers will never be able to understand this as Jesus said " forgive them father for they know not what they do " . As we quickly learn growing up that we have to be accountable to authoritiies of parents, schools, police, government, and yes even God. It is with God that many object to his authority, and this is why I believe we are seeing things going on in our country that simply don't make sense. Just like not obeying your parents, you then get punishment, and it is the same disobeying God. Look at how God punished the Isrealites for their stiff necked refusal to obey God laws, he dispersed them all over the world for over two thousand years until May 14,1948 when Isreal regained nationhood, as prophesied in the Bible.

I hope this doesn't happen in November 2012, but if Obama gets re- elected, I believe it is because God is in control, and he is punishing our country for turning our backs to him. Does it really make sense for our country to have a communist for POTUS. And without a doubt in my mind and heart, it is because of the divine blessings of God that America has become the great and exceptional country that we have the privilege of living in. How much longer America remains a great and exceptional country remains to be seen, but if the people continue turning their backs on God, I don't believe it will be for much longer.
