OK, is the link there now?

Depending in what was done to the Mosin, if you take into account the cost of the rifle, parts, and time to complete the project, that kind of price may not be all that bad. I've seen a few sported Mosins that I'd gladly pay $500 for, assuming I was in the market for such a rifle.

The sum of the parts is no where near $500. Time involved is irrelevant.

Mosin...$100

ATI stock....$65

Silly rail...$35

Deduct original stock and fixtures....-$60+ as that looks like it might be an M38 or its had a very good chop job with the original sight replaced.

In other words bubba strikes again. That rifle is worth no more than an original and will never recoup the cost put into it....unless he crosses paths with another idiot.

OK, that is what I was thinking... just wasn't sure if I had missed something. Like when I paid under $100 for my SKS and now they are going for $300 +. If it had been a PU sniper, maybe, but then if someone bubbified a sniper... well, that might be enough to make even Chuck Norris cry.

Sadly the person who ends up buying it will be a younger person who is just getting into shooting and doesn't know the true value. I've seen and heard of plenty of guys that have been ripped off because they didn't do their homework.
