I just traded for my first M&P 45c. Very accurate with both 185/ 230 grain bullets. Some feeding problems with 185g. Bullet would hang toward top of barrel. This is a Berry plated truncated bullet. I have owned mostly subcompact glocks in this caliber and they feed this 185g okay. I like trigger pull and small grip fits my hand, feels better than G36 and G30. I am a little concerned with length of 4" barrel in concealled carry.

What have been your shooting and carry experiences with the M&P 45c?

The best of the M&Ps, Glock messed up on the G30/36 IMHO. I really don't have any experience with shooting a 45c though.

Yes shooting reloads 185g bullet at 940 fps and occasionally round hangs at angle with bullet tip tip top of barrel opening. 230g hard ball Blazers does not do this. My glocks will feed this round. I'm going to try 185g Reminington Golden Saber to see if their bullet shape works. This is my SD round in my Glocks 21 and 36.

I have shot a friends over a 100 times and loved it. Smooth and accurate at 25 yards no problem.

I had put close to 1k rounds through the one I had. Accurate shooter, utterly reliable. It liked heavier bullets. 200+ grains. Shot a little high on the 185 grain. Don't know why.

I recently loaded 1000 ACP rounds for my friend. I shoot about 200 of them from his XD. I do not recall any failures

The load:

Winchester large pistol primer

8.5 grains of Alliant Unique

Rainier 185 gr flat nose bullet

Overall length 32.4 mm

Seams a little on the stout side.

I cleaned 45c real good, for previous owner must have never cleaned it. I installed an Apex DCAEK kit and then fired 50rounds in an asortment of 185g and 230g rounds, all fed well. 185g were centered and more accurate at 10 yds.

I just bought one myself from Nashville Sporting Arms (great guys) and I'm pumped to try it out. Always loved the .45 ACP.
