Looking to move somewhere between Knoxville and Chattanooga. I am looking for work as a Paramedic.

Seeking out information on the EMS job market in the area , need to know who is hiring, etc.

Not sure about the entire area between Knox and Chatt but I know that Rural Metro serves Knoxville and a good portion of the surrounding area.

So am I to assume that you are Paramedic? The City/County here hires regularly as does Fort Campbell for Federal Civil Service positions. You didn't state what your Qualifications were (EMT-B, EMT-Intermediate or EMT Advanced (Paramedic). Either way they hire alot around here because of the high turnover rate. Something you might want to consider....

Yea, Paramedic since 2003...

I know that Rural / Metro and AMR are in the area, but don't know much more than that.

Rural Metro has the 911 contracts for Knox, Blount, and Loudon Counties. The other 911 services in the area are all County Govt run. Knoxville has several non-emergency services to pick from, AMR, ProMed, and a few others. I'm not sure about the set ups around Chatt. Maybe someone in that area will be able to chime in.
