The topics are pretty good. At least people are saying they deserved it and not oh well they must be good people because you say so.

All I can say is just wow, after reading the comments. The "friends" and "classmates" comments, seriously? I knew some people were ignorant, but on the scale that it seems to be going on.

All the "they were good kids that made 1 bad decision", I can expect that from the family but so many other people. I am sorry, but 1 bad decision you still have to reap the consequences. If I decide to go skydiving and risk opening my parachute at the last second and end up getting killed, I don't get any second chances. One bad decision can still equal death. You hold a gun in someones face and beat them, there are no do-overs just because that was your first one bad decision.

At least they died doing what they love.

From the comments I read we wouldn't be at much of a loss if some more of their friends joined in on the fun that night.

It's probably more accurate to say it was the first bad decision their frineds knew about. Fine, upstanding, intelligent, good people don't just up and decide to knock off a convenience store and beat the clerk with guns as their first foray into bad decision making.

Heh. Not KNS. On the local version (clerk shoots robbers in Knoxville also) this morning, I made a comment about the criminal's working attire of hoodies and bandannas and got deleted.

From the article:

"Police have not been able to identify either of the robbers . . . "

(Wishful thinking update . . . )

"The Coroner said the pair will be buried in cardboard caskets in shallow graves at the landfill. In lieu of flowers, county residents are invited to drop by and p*** over their graves."

I can't believe some of the comments either. Why do people have so much trouble seeing the evil demonstrated by their actions? I couldn't call someone "good" who could beat and rob an old man like they did. Watch how fast I distance myself from anyone I know who does something this bad. I sure won't go online and defend them just b/c the side of them I knew was different. It'd be clear I didn't know them very well.
