Reality Check: Ron Paul can still win and has NOT dropped out!

This is the type of mentality that doesn't help either side and only paints RP supporters as selfish close-minded drones.

Wake up man, it's obama that's the anti-christ, not Romney.

I do seriously believe there are folks who will write in RP even if he croaks before the election.

Paul has no hope. it is a fantasy just about unequaled to think he can pull this out.

Unless you want Obama again everyone needs to get behind Romney. Right or wrong he is the only option.

For me, I support Ron Paul until he drops out or loses the nomination. Is that so terrible, folks?

If Romney wins, and the big government republican probably will, then I'll be forced to vote Romney to vote against the worse guy, Obama.

No, what's wrong with that? At least you don't sound like a paulbot. Just try to remember Romney's record

has been distorted. Being a Republican governor in a very liberal state is a task in itself. It doesn't make

one a liberal, though. Romney, with a more conservative house and majority senate is the goal.

Romney won KY's primary today. That's his Son's state isn't it??

Kinda sad that he couldn't pull out a win there, I mean....this was THE opportunity for RP supporters to get the VOTE out.......ya think??

Well, RP's supporters will tell you that winning primaries is unimportant (although I think they say that mostly because RP hasn't won any) - they'll say that in most of the states that "matter", the primary votes and the selection of delegates are separate and that more RP delegates have/will be selected than delegates for any other candidates regardless of the primary votes. All of which is supposed to lead to RP securing the nomination at a brokered convention.

Of course, there hasn't been a brokered Republican convention in something like 50 years and I've got to say that if my state went for Romney and he didn't get the delegates he should get based on the primary results I'd be pretty pissed and rightfully so. Moreover, if RP gets the nomination that way it would be an absolute joke on the American public and frankly, I hope RP has more dignity and respect for the process to accept that nomination in such an underhanded fashion.

I would still rather see him as Secretary of the Treasury, or something along those lines.

Humm, I always thought being underhanded meant that you didn't play by the rules?

The republican party, and the democrat party too for that matter, don't really deserve much respect. They will crap on you in a heartbeat if you don't tow the line. If there is any disgrace to be handed out the parties in general should be at the front of the line. They will bend and change the rules to their advantage every time, with little regard for "we the people".

I'm more concerned about people doing what is "right" more than I am people following the rules - if the voters of a state select a particular candidate as the winner of their delegates then it seems to me that the right thing is for that winning candidate to get those delegates.

I have heard exactly no one defend the Republican Party about the shenanigans they pulled over

the last several weeks. i don't like it, either. You're right about both parties being disgraced, but are you

willing to throw the baby out with the bath water? At least the Tea Party is working on the Republican

with a good degree of success. Which way is the Democrat Party going? I'd say pure communism. I

don't see many of them trying to do anything about that, except leaving it to become moderate and

let their vote sway in the breeze, whichever way it blows.
