If you would have concealed your firearm, things may have never gotten this far. Sounds to me like she is anti-gun...I don't want anti-gun people to see my firearm when I am out in public, or really anyone else for that matter. It can create a big mess like the one you are in now. Act more responsible when you are carrying your firearm and these things won't happen. If you want to open carry, then fine. It's perfectly legal to do so, however, that does not make it the right choice to do so. Sorry you got your permit revoked. Maybe it's time you be the bigger person, work on getting your permit back, and move on like most folk would do.

Just curious as to why the original judge found sufficient cause to issue one ex parte in the first place.

An ex parte is very easy to get, since the "defendant" doesn't even have to be there. It's a one-sided case on that day and something so little as "he broke my favorite CD" is seen as domestic violence, and can lead to approval of an ex parte order.
