Winchester Model 70 XTR Featherweight 30-06?

my uncle told me he used to have one of these and it was a great rifle, i recently found one for sale and don't know much about them the one i found is an 1980s model...im just looking for some info on the rifle ... how good of accuracy i should expect and how well the Gun is Overall .. and what one in great shape is worth

If it is in good condition, that is a fair price with the scope. The XTRs are good looking rifles, and I've yet to see one that wouldn't shoot minute of angle accuracy. I personally prefer the pre 64 style action of the Classic to the XTR, but I'd still buy an XTR if the price was right.

I know I'm a little late with this but I own a Model 70 XTR Featherweight in .270 cal. It has been my field rifle since the mid 80s. I have had Brownings, Remingtons and other Winchesters but this one is the most accurate and best handling rifle I've ever owned. When I got it, the Redfield Widefield scopes were the "going thing" and I still have that 2x7 scope on it. Sounds like a bargin at that price.
