to the average person who does not wet themselves at the very thought of a firearm, you are correct. but to the bed wetters who have created a big enough stink to post parks in the first place this is very relevant. If the guy was a HCP people will use it as an example as to why we should not carry guns in a park even with a permit. pinkerton is a posted park

That statement makes no sense at all, if park was already off limits for carry. What more can they do, search everyone entering it? Maybe try the guy for 39-17-1311 posthumously?

I don't see any debate starting from this..had it been a homicide with the shooter being an hcp holder.. maybe some stirring sure. Ranger friend told me about being called out to Hidden Lake boat launch area where a guy committed suicide with a handgun two weeks ago. MNPD was 1st respond but I haven't seen anything stirring up about that.

Not an issue. It is illegal to have a gun in Franklin parks, even for HCP holders, so there's nothing the bed-wetters have to cry about.
