First Colt Revolver ever made?

When was the first Colt revolver made and how much is it worth?

I went to the Batterson Hall museum in Hartford CT, the historian passed around a Colt revolver that he claims was the very first Colt revolver that Samuel Colt made, which was given to James Batterson, founder of Travelers Insurance. He said its valued at $28 million. Can someone confirmed this?

I don't know but that is a pretty pistol.

I suppose if you want to get technical the first one he made was out of wood, but I'm just giving you a hard time. ;)

The Colt Paterson was the first and is readily identifiable by its lack of a trigger guard. First produced in 1836.
