Happy Mother's Day!

To all you mothers, no matter what kind of mother you may be, happy Mother's Day! Hope your lousy unappreciative kids do something special for you on this very special day. (Didn't mention all the great kids out there because it's a given that they'll do something special)

Oh, and if you happen to be one those lousy, unappreciative kids I've mentioned - Get off yer butt and call your mom and tell her you love her!

Had a great mothers day today. Started out bringing mom (and dad) breakfast in bed.

She surprised the heck out of me this year with her request to spend the day at the range! So off we went to CHMR, the whole family. Everyone had a blast and my mom (former LAPD reserve) has still got it. Hasn't shot a gun in close to thirty years and by her second mag we were calling her Annie Oakley. The best thing is we got my dad not only out of bed but out of the house, which is a pretty big deal these days as he's not doing great health wise.

Any way ended the day with a big family dinner with some of her friends as guests.

The only down side is I think I have to relinquish my sr22 to her as it was her clear favorite of the day. Oh well.

Ruger makes a lot of Sr22s, and you only have one Mom. Sounds like a fair deal and you know what you have to do. . . .

Congrats on the big day out. You'll be talking about it for weeks.

Got to surprise my mom yesterday by having a recently re-found long lost friend - I grew up with him as almost an extra "brother" but hadn't seen him 25-30 years - call and talk to her. Great thing is that they only live 150 miles from each other and he's planning a surprise visit to see her later this month.
