Not acting weird in a Wal-Mart is a sure way to bring attention to yourself. Walk around in hot pink tights and a Superman cape and everyone will ignore you.

When getting out of your vehicle, always be aware of your surroundings. Note who is lingering in the parking lot, where and how they are acting. Are they armed? Creepy looking? Choose your route carefully and ALWAYS, I mean ALWAYS, have a way out of any situation.

Don't be nervious, walk naturally and not all stiff legged and scared like everyone is looking at you. Remember, you're pack'n legaly and they probably aren't.

Just don't worry about it. Comfort in carrying will come natural to you the more you do it.

Carrying is no big deal...don't upset your stomach over it!

I did the Wally Walk when I renewed my lisence. I felt no different on the fishing isle than any other time I went in there. JUST RELAX!!!!!!

I never hear what we should purchase, while on a Wally Walk. What is the appropriate grocery list for the

occasion ?

I figure - (inclusive or just individually with multiple visits during the day??)

ice cream

prophylactics

fishing lures & live bait

baby wipes

feminine products

lightbulbs

pet food

oil & filter

Haloween Costume (any time but Haloween)

Don't forget the trip to the restroom, figuring that out is probably one of the biggest adjustments.

Ok , so , did the walk , no police called , no left screaming out of the store. I did get a couple of wierd looks when I reached up high for something but that could be explained away as I just look wierd lol.

I carry mine in the pocket, I don't see the use of putting it on my side, Criminals or bad guys try to surprise their victim, surprise them back! Not only that, If they see the gun they might try and change their strategy.

^I do this whether I'm carrying or not.^

And I always have. Mostly because it never made much sense to me to be more alert to danger when you're armed than when you're unarmed. On the other hand, growing up in an open carry state (Kansas), I was carrying a .22 revolver on my hip to run a trap line before I had a driver's license and had drilled into me early on the responsibilities and potential consequences that come with carrying a weapon of any kind.

All that aside, congrats to the OP on your first successful Wally walk.
