List them in best to worst in your opinion.

Here is my short list. Even though I have G's and Keltecs low on my list, don't assume that I'm saying that they are not good guns. I just don't like them. I'm sure the Glocks will be very high on most lists.

  1. Sig
  2. CZ
  3. S&W
  4. Springfield
  5. Ruger
  6. Taurus
  7. Glock
  8. Keltec

9. FIE

*All wheel guns except for the TC. Didn't mention the one bottom feeder I've owned because I couldn't remember who made it, but it would have come in at the bottom of the list.

Obviously the listing would change if just revolvers or just pistols were mentioned. Within pistols the list would change again considering .22s, service pistols to daily carry or pocket. I lumped my 1911 brands I have had together as they all worked, some with a little more tinkering than others.

1. Glock/Sig

2. Ruger

3. S&W

4. Dan Wesson

5. Beretta

Don't know that I'd be able to really order them. They all have pro's and con's. The only one I'd really put at the bottom (or off the list) would be the Jennings. It was my first and I quickly learned a valuable lesson, so in that sense it was a good one for me ;)

- Romanian Draco - it counts as a pistol? :)

1. Browning - Hi-Power (Several 9's and a .40)

2. S&W - M&P9 (3)

3. CZ - 2075 RamiP, 75, P-07

4. Walther - P99 (2)

5. FN - FNP9 USG, Hi-Power (9mm and a .40)

6. FEG - PJK-9HP

7. Springfield - XD9 4" (several)

8. Glock - 19 (several)

9. Sig - 226

10. Ruger - SR9, LCR 38

11. Kel-Tec - PF9 (several), P11

12. Radom - P-64

13. Jennings

Over 40 years of shooting I’ve owned most all of them at one time or another. I’m pretty much locked into Smith & Wesson; other than a .40 micro (Kahr MK40) they have a handgun for every application I have. The Shield might fill the application for a .40 micro, I don’t know yet, haven’t been able to get my hands on one.

I’ll leave out the worst and just put the best in the order I like them:

Smith & Wesson

Kimber

Kahr

Ruger
