Richard Mourdock is declared by NBC to be the winner of the Indiana senate seat defeating 36 year Senator Richard Luger. If the 2010 elections and this primary defeat of Luger is any indication of people tired of establishment politicians and the status quo, then people should consider looking to the Tea Party to voice their concerns.

Hopefully the momentum of the results of the 2010 elections will carry over in November to oust Obama, and to gain full control of Congress. I'm united behind Romney and any Tea Party candidate.

 yeah, I've been watching the results come in. Looking good! :usa:

Ron Paul ain't doing too well.......again.

Now, you've gone and opened up the Paulbots can of worms. Maybe the reason he is not doing too well besides the age factor is because he's been in Congress too long. What happened to term limits?

And a lot of folks said the Tea Party is dead. Nope! They are still alive and kicking. And being harassed

by the IRS.

Nobody should spend 6 terms in the Senate. 2 should do it.

About 5 should be plenty in the House, too. Ron Paul has spent over 20 years there. He's a career politician, and hence part of the problem.

Also a homosexual/queer ban up for vote in NC too.

The amendment would bar legal recognition of any union besides marriage between one man and one woman, including civil unions and domestic partnerships for gay and straight couples.

Queer marriage is already outlawed in the state. The amendment would block challenges to that ban on constitutional grounds.

Good news. Apparently Demint is championing for him to raise funds because he spent so much money to win the primary. Hopefully this doesn't backfire and put a Dem in their spot.

North Carolina is poised to become the 31st state to add an amendment on marriage to its constitution, with voters banning same-sex marriage and barring legal recognition of unmarried couples by state and local governments.

Incomplete returns show the amendment up 59.72 percent to 40.28 percent.

Looks like RP did pull out a second place so the paulbots still have a glimmer of hope.

They were not happy to just come out of the closet, they want to shove their gay agenda up everybody's arse. Sanity in our country is becoming less and less. When will people start saying " I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore"

....

And yet, same sex marriage is legal in 6 states.

How to resolve this dilemma nationally? An Obama loaded Supreme Court, of course. Guess which way it'll go?

You'll have a hard time of convincing the Paulbots of the danger of an Obama overloaded SC. They still have their principles!

I will never get why so many conservatives are against gay marriage. It really just hurts the conservatives.... driving away some % of voters who would otherwise be conservative. The founding fathers conservatives supposedly cherish were all about personal freedoms. They were also all about seperation of church and state. The only real complaint about the gays is rooted in religion. I cannot make a connection as to why freedom loving conservatives want to restrict the freedoms of others and turn government into morality police.

Regardless, it passed. While I disagree with it, generally, it does feel like an "up yours" to the liberals at the same time. :P

How about most conservatives don't want to see the extinction of civilization. The progeny of civilization is the result from heterosexual mating. Evidently, that is easily forgotten among the homosexuals.

You're seriously worried about a dearth of procreative boffing in this world?

On second thought, after seeing that society is producing alot of fools, extinction of civilization might not seem such a bad idea.

Homosexuals turning heterosexuals into homosexuals thus dooming the population?

It seems seriously impossible to me. I've only been attracted to women for my entire life. But I get your point, if you are on the fence you could get tricked into being gay or something. Since I am not on the fence I am having a hard time empathizing with your position.

What are the triggers that you think would make you suddenly and completely homosexual?

I ask because I'm pretty sure I can't be anything but straight. So it interests me to see the motivators of those who imagine they would equivocate.

The gay agenda that is being pushed in the schools makes it very vulnerable for kids. If every kid grows up thinking homosexuality is OK , they could very easily become confused about their sexuality.

For awhile it looked like that the gay community was going to become extinct with the advent of Aids. Medical technology slowed down that extinction possibility, but the threat is still real.

Thank goodness that you're not on the fence. If you know of any homosexuals, then you might want to ask them what triggered them to suddenly and completely become homosexual. Good luck with answers to your curiosity. Try a vacation out to San Francisco and you might find answers or maybe even go to a gay pride parade.

:wall: The founding fathers founded this country as a Christian nation rooted in Christian principles. Seperation of Church and State meant that no single church could take over the government and become the religion of the nation. They also had states that had a state denomination. The founders were ok with that.

The problem is that social conservatives (mostly Christians) want to control people's lives just as much as socially liberal progressives... It's because we've lost sight of the ROOT cause of the problem...

The problem that you run into is a fairly simple one... people are scared of having gay marriage forced on them... run a business, have a religious issue with gay marriage... doesn't matter if they have a valid state marriage license you must provide health insurance to the spouse... So while the gay marriage license gives freedom to one group, in our current situation it takes freedom away from another.

The solution to this problem isn't banning gay marriage, the solution is getting the Government out of marriage licenses altogether. Why exactly does the Federal, State or Local government need to be involved in marriage to begin with? If we completely do away with government involvement in marriage, then government looses the power to regulate which marriages you will or will not recognize, giving you your freedom back, at the same time allowing whom ever wants to get married to call themselves married.

Force people to focus on the root cause... get rid of it, and freedom will be restored.

The gay community is yet another bunch of useful idiots for someone else's agenda. An ideology that

doesn't give a damn about their well being or existence. Not that I care, either, but they could be a bit

less vocal and it wouldn't be such an issue. If they want their "Gay Pride", that's fine, just keep it out of

other's faces.

it ain't about marriage.

I guess that's why Christ and Christian is mentioned so often in the Constitution?

And just what principles embedded therein are the uniquely Christian ones of which you speak?

Seperation of Church and State meant that no single church could take over the government and become the religion of the nation. They also had states that had a state denomination. The founders were ok with that.

States rights are not related to the federal government and were more powerful than the federal government up until the civil war, where the issue was settled. The founders were, of course, OK with the states making their own laws. They had little choice, in the early days it was a near thing at times to prevent the 13 countries of america --- making the USA into something like central america with a bunch of little republics. Except it would have been the 60 or 70 countries of america, given the land mass.

There is nothing in the constitution that matches any of the teachings of christ nor the 10 commandments. I do not see this supposed link to principles, maybe you can explain that better. What I see is a limited government that lets people live and let live, each doing their own thing with minimal interference from federal government.

But, this was a state law. I suppose I should support state rights and cheer them on, but I cannot. I cannot cheer at limitations on personal choices and freedoms without a good reason, and none has yet to be given for this issue. It just boils down to majority bullying the minority with laws and regulations. I cannot help but wonder if now california can choose to do the same by outlawing hetero marriage? Would that then also be OK to conservatives, a great win for state's rights and conservative principles?

Can someone rationally explain the Republican obsession with homos and other matters regarding personal choice, religion and science please?

There really are more important things to worry about and trying to take this nation back to the middle ages is only going to continue polarizing the people as a whole against those who claim to hold the sceptre of "conservatism".

Aw come on, Garufa. It's not a Republican obsession. And, yes, there are plenty other things to worry about, but

that doesn't mean they should be allowed to run rampant, either. If you really pay attention to their actions, you'll

soon find out they only want something that is not theirs. It's like the tired argument from the likes of Jackson and

Sharpton crying racism all the time. Not one bit different.
