im tired of electing these hipocrites that say one thing and do another. i think more americans feel the same way and is why the tea party is so popular. if we keep the same momentum going we can get this country back in the right direction. i dont agree with everything rp says but at least he is honest. i think mitt is no better than obama and me voting for romney does nothing for this country. just my two cents and vote for who will do the job best in your opinion, and ill vote for who i think will do best.

I know Mark, but he won't get to the point where we can vote for him as a Republican. Pulling off a brokered convention

is unlikely at this point and Romney is starting to warm up to the point I think it's a shoe-in. He doesn't have the delegates

he thinks he does. I've said all along I would take the last man standing on the Republican ticket, and I don't see how in the

world it could be him. I'll gladly take Romney over the alternative. Paul would also make a good SecTres.

We, those of us that want to get this country “back on trackâ€, are easily split. You see it on this forum all the time. Those that don’t care about anyone but themselves are the largest voting group. The worse the economy gets, the larger that group gets.

Lots of truth here.

I'd like to see more people engage their noggin and think beyond the sound bites... Most of us are still letting the media and the politicians frame the debate... witness the big hooraw over NC banning gay marriage, and how it is the fault of the Tea Party, or republicans, or rednecks - ignoring the facts that A) NC is full of 'progressives' B) More than half the other states (including that bastion of liberalism California) have done the same and C) Our economic ship is sinking and we're arguing over what the band should play at dinner.

This is the big one. Fact is, the electorate as a whole is dumber than a bag of hammers. They'll most likely swallow the smoke screen, and our politicians will continue their incompetence. There are just too many things that folks want from the government. They certainly don't want it fixed, or Ron would have MUCH bigger numbers.

We're gonna be lucky to come out of this mess with our gun rights.

Remember that as you live the next 25-40 years under Obama's Supreme Court decisions. You'll probably not be able to complain on a gun forum about it, though.

If our economy fails, gun rights, abortion, and health care will be pretty insignificant. You will have all the gun rights you want if there isn’t anyone telling you can’t have a gun, or don’t have the ability to enforce it if they tried.

I do not fear having my guns taken away by anyone. I do fear not having a job or being able to have a home to store my guns in.

Americans need to quit looking for someone to blame, step up and take responsibility for what we have done; and then fix it.

Could a President that would work towards fixing our economy be able to get elected? I don’t think so. Poor people, people able to work that are getting government assistance, and people that don’t want to enforce immigration laws aren’t going to vote for him.

That's what we're seeing in Europe, sans the immigration part.

Now that half the households in the US get some kind of federal money and almost the same % pay no federal income tax, we've become very similar. As has been mentioned, the worse the economy becomes because of Dem socialist policies, the more the fix is in for the Dems as more folks join the payroll. Just like Greece and France, the US citizenry just isn't willing to bear any pain at all, so everything keeps getting postponed until The Big Pain happens for all.

On the bright side, I actually do have some confidence that Romney with a GOP House and Senate could actually make a significant difference in our decline. On the dark side, as you opine, I imagine that the public will not stand steadfast with them long enough to make that difference, and will trot right back to the Sugar Daddy Party at the first sign of discomfort.

So in that regard I think our course may well indeed be set in stone to a degree that simply won't be changed until that Big Pain happens, but at least we might be able to retain significantly more personal freedom the longer we can stave off these damn communists, and at least be in a position to reclaim the country from the ashes rather than live an interminable slavish existence in them.

That is correct. However, I am holding onto a sliver of hope that Romney and the right kind of GOP majority will be able to make dramatic improvements, thereby staving off disaster. If Obama gets a second term, I don't think we really have to worry about the SCOTUS because our fiscal situation is going to destroy this country. Our current debt at the end of this year ($16.6 T) is almost impossible to pay back. Increasing our debt by $1.4 T per year (although it will be higher once Obamacare kicks in) for another four years puts the final nail in the coffin. It is sad when you think that at the end of Bush's term our debt was roughly $10 T. If Obama wins a second term, our debt at the end of his term will be $23 T or higher. For whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.

Unless Romney (assuming he wins) and the gang can work some magic, it really is over. When the "Big Pain" happens, I don't think we will be able to recover. I am somewhat expecting global carnage on a biblical scale.

Paul folks, you can moan til the cows come home, but he has as much chance as a one-legged man at a butt kicking.

We now have one option only, and not a good one at that, but it is what it is. Romney. Other alternative is the new

gay candidate, Obama.

Take your pick........

Asked in an ABC News interview in Des Moines whether he sees himself in the Oval Office, Mr Paul replied: 'Not really, but I think it's a possibility.'

He added: 'I don't deceive myself. You know what the odds are. The odds have been slim.'

I just realized that with BHO coming out, he just lost the muslim vote and his buddies in the mid-east will not be happy with him.

Paulbots also say that there is not any difference between BHO and Mitt, now there is.

Even some's savior, Bill Clinton saw welfare benefits drop when he used his brain, instead of his two brains between his legs, to

decide he wanted four more years and sign on with the Republican Congress and see reform work. It was actually dropping, instead

of what's happening with what the fool in the White House is up to. It may not be the big winner of the liberals.

I don't see much if any difference in Romney or Obama. I might as well vote for Obama if I vote for Romney based on what I saw in Mass while he was Gov.

Romney is anti 2nd Amend.

At least a vote for RP leaves me with a clear conscience.

:bs:

that horse has been beaten http://mittromneycentral.com/on-the-issues/second-amendment/

there's videos on here to just like RP has. :koolaid:
