Caught some nice catfish

Caught nine 2-4lb channel catfish this afternoon/early evening at the CC steam plant. Very happy with todays haul! I wish I still had my boat because about the time I start seeing them at the steam plant I know some great spots to go jug fishing for them too.

We used to specifically target channel cats during the spawn at Waconda Res. up home using lead heads tipped with live leeches - came back once with a mess of 10 fish each (two of us fishing) running from 7 to 16 pounds (came out to well over two hundred pounds of fish for an evening's fishing).

Don't think I've gone after catfish since I moved to East Tn., but then again the trout & smallies have kept me pleasantly occupied.
