I got these within the week and the ammo came today. Hopefully, it will last a year or two in the ammo box until I find time to get to the range.:D

I would have got some .357 magnum, but I didn't know I was getting that until yesterday. I'm thinking about getting a shoulder holster for it. Bulman did the one for my springfield pro and it was nice and compfortable. That way I can open carry and there is no question I am carrying a gun.

It is one of the black stainless ones, I think. 686-3 I suppose it could of had a coating put on it... $400 it was a good deal for it I think. The Taurus was only $250 with about 100 rds of ammo.

I went to the last 2 gun shows, and everything I saw was too much IMO. The cheapest revolver at the Smyrna show that I saw was $299 for a 4" barrel taurus. The cheapest 686 in shiney stainless was $499 at Kens gun booth Sunday, he had two others at $550.

They are not all that pretty, and I don't have to worry about scratching them.

Not a ruger though, lol, nice pair! I love it when people still buy wheel guns. Best friend just bought a snubbie like that. He acts like hes found the holy grail.

I've shot revolvers before never owned one. I think I was in the just want to be cool semi-auto group. I started looking for a small revolver for carry just to get something different. I still haven't found one (looking for a deal on a 342 or a 442). I bought these instead, but still am looking for the small one. I don't think I have found the holy grail, but revolvers have advantages over a semi-auto and should be considered by anyone looking for a handgun.

revolvers are where it is at, you all can have them tacticool guns.

Rabbi while not fond of that paint job the revolver itself is sure nice looking. That one kind of looks like and Ohio State model. Maybe you could start selling them in school colors. You also might need to sell some in bright orange for the attendees of State Penn.

They have that color and also black/gold.

They are hideous. I had 2 Bulldogs through the shop. First one wasnt too bad. Second one was so poorly made I sent it back. Lock up was sloppy. On a new gun. They are cheap shoddy guns. Sorry. The old Charters were fine. The new Charter2000 suck. They are the only available guns in the new .327 Federal though.

My distributor tells me a lot of shops use them as eye candy to sell other guns.

And yes, the Smith up above sure looks like a 586 to me. The 686 is a stainless model, as 6 designates stainless in the Smith universe.

Yo...you got da esttended cylinder for dat....can I get dat in chrome plate with pearl grips?

Just throw a rifle over your shoulder and call it a day.

That is a good idea, but a handgun is easier to carry.
