I mean this as an honest question and am not trying to pick a fight: have you ever heard of a gun shop accepting the return of a firearm? I have not nor have I ever expected them to. Not even Walmart accepts gun returns and I can think of several good reasons of why such a policy is in place. In my experience, buying a gun is a lot like buying a car--once you sign the papers that gun (and all it's problems) belong to you.

Not a new gun. Usually (If you purchased it from a upstanding store) they will help you with any warranty issues.

Yes G&L took a return on a gun I bought from them a few years back not sure if they still do or not,I bought the gun lets say on a Friday night tried shooting it the following morning didnt work so immediately took it back, they let me put my money on a different firearm.

was that on a new gun or used? if it was new, I'd be curious to know if they restocked your returned gun as "new"...

G&L has great customer service. I firmly believe they would never try to pass off a used gun as new. I would bet $ they returned the gun to the distributor/manufacturer and got it replaced.

If a firearm is purchased from us and has a problem new or used, we take care of it. Whether that be taking it and giving your money back, allowing what you paid towards something else, or repairing it ourselves/ taking care of the warranty repair with the manufacturer. If you bought a gun from us and you just changed your mind and dont like it anymore that aint gonna cut it, unfortunately.

That's the way it should be.

While it wasn't with a firearm, G&L treated me really well on some magazine issues with a gun I purchased from them. I bought a 1911 that had one magazine that always had a FTF on the last round. I was going to send it back to the manufacturer but Daniel just handed me a new mag and said they'd deal with the manufacturer. He sure didn't have to do that - but it saved me some trouble. I don't expect them to take back a gun I bought in 2008 because I want something new...

It was new but they would NEVER do that, once I found Guns and Leather in Greenbrier I have never gone to any other in state store to purchase firearms. Their customer service is above and beyond that of any other business I have dealt with(Firearms or not). Plus the firearm I returned was more of an unusual gun and they only had that one in stock and from what I have seen it was the only one they ever had, and I never saw it again. There was no way the gun could be passed off as new anyways,it had been fired a few times both when I shot it and when I took it back to G&L Ben took it down to the range and shot it to see if he could address the problem, not to mention it did not cycle at ALL.

I picked up a used G26 from G&L. Giving me some issues on feeding. I'll try it again, and if I still have issues I feel sure that G&L will fix it.

It has been my experience that they stand behind what they sell...new or used. Do I expect a complete and full refund on a used gun...no...but I feel sure that if there is a problem with it they'll make it right

There is no reason behind poor customer service no matter what the business. Any new merchandise sold as new that has issues should be able to be returned for a full refund/store credit. Businesses that don't do that don't have good customer service...plain and simple. Vote with your dollars people

I'd hit up the BBB and see if Kathlene Culligan will talk to Ralph Bristol on the air (99.7) about this. He's goes straight to a lot of potential customers. I also think that the AG is a good option as well.

Can't wait for specialty arms to open back up they have fixed issues on the spot for me. Thats when you know you are at a good place. It is messed up that someone burnt it up.

Arsenals customer service has been garbage recently. My sgl21 shoots great but you have either a front sight or rear sight canted. I've herd of this going on for a while but sounds like I'll keep getting ak rifles built by myself for a while. There's also a great ak builder in the Knoxville area.

Who's the AK builder in Knoxville?

Just to provide further negative response to any reps of Arsenal or On Target that view this, I'll post a comment to make it clear that this thread and the youtube videos do have an impact...not only to many on this forum and on youtube...but also by word of mouth in the gun community.

I'll join the others in stating that I will NOT be a customer of either business.

Wow.

I hope the OP gets some justice on this.

I'm in the Boro too and won't be in off target again. Arsenal used to put out good stuff.

Guess I'll keep doing my own Saiga's.

Im curios if op ever got a response from arsenal after sending a link of this thread. Ive never been to OT, as I live in Chattanooga, but i go to Nashville on a regular basis. This thread assures that I never will enter their store, and I will spread this story to all my shooting buddies. Sorry to hear of your troubles

It doesnt mean that Arsenal doesnt put out good stuff,it simply means their customer service isnt where people would like, I own 4 Arsenals and will continue to buy their products personally as long as they make quality firearms that I love.

Count me among the ones never to grace On Targets doors (live in JC but get down to that area occasionally). Made my mind up about Arsenal also.

Sad the state of customer service with small biz these days, this is why walmart and the Internet sales prevail.

I'm not really sure the "I'll never shop there!" comments from people all across the state carry much (any?) weight with a business who really looks to draw consumers from about a 30-45 mile radius. It's kind of silly, really.

I know the guys at On Target and have never gotten a raw deal from them. It's a shame the OP wasn't able to get satisfactory service.

Word of mouth can be a very powerful influence. Some of the members here know people who live within that 30-45 mile radius and may dissuade them from doing business with OT.

The only thing I have used them for is the range. I've never bought anything or had any work done, so I'm unqualified to comment on that part of it. However, they've always been happy to show me anything I wanted to see and answer any questions I had.
